I fully support the pact and have been working to improve consumers' rights in the EU for a long time. We need to cooperate throughout Europe to ensure that consumers are not tricked by banks, companies or labels. We need proper information about food, but we also need to ensure that our food is free from potentially dangerous additives. We need to focus on health and safety in all consumers products - from toys and televisions to toothpaste and tomatoes.
